Adoption

Adoption may not be the first choice that comes to mind, but it’s an option worth considering.

Adoption often looks different than most people assume it would look. You can choose the family and even stay in contact with your child through an open adoption. As the birth mother, you have options and the ability to set up the parameters of adoption according to your own needs and desires. Adoption can be open, semi-open, or closed. Expectant mothers that choose adoption are seeking the best for their baby and are involved in the entire process.

Adoption can be a positive choice for many reasons.

• You will not have to parent before you are ready.
• You can choose a family for your baby.
• You will have the freedom to choose if you want a long-term relationship with the baby’s father.
• You will have the joy of knowing you chose life for your baby.
• You can hold, name and love your baby.
• You can know how your child is growing and developing.
• Your child can thank you for the life you chose for him or her.
